County Mental Health Program

National Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities (NICHY)
NICHY operates a national clearinghouse of resource materials and provides information to assist parents, educators and advocates in helping youth with disabilities.

Oregon Association for Children and Adults with Learning Disabilities (ACLD)
ACLD conducts parent support groups, publishes a newsletter and provides consultation to parents and schools.

Oregon Department of Education
Oversees the implementation of the IDEA and provides technical assistance to school districts and families. Written materials also available.

OTAP offers statewide services for children (0-21), including information, training, technical assistance referral and a used equipment marketplace.

Guardianship, Advocacy and Planning Services (GAPS)
Provides guardianship and advocacy services to adults who have no available family members or other natural supports to assist.

Vocational Rehabilitation Department
Provides employment evaluations, training and other work related services to eligible persons with disabilities. Check your phone book under state listings for your local branch office.
