NEW SOCIAL SECURITY PROJECT SETS COURSE!

Oregon Advocacy Center has recently launched a new Protection and Advocacy for Beneficiaries of Social Security Project (PABSS). Funded by the Social Security Administration, PABSS has been established to provide assistance and individual representation to Social Security recipients with disabilities who are seeking vocational rehabilitation services, employment services and other support services from employment networks and other service providers.

Regal Cinemas Case........           District Court rules against plaintiffs

On May 1, 2001, Judge Garr King issued a decision denying Plaintiffs’ motion for summary judgment, granting Defendants’ motion for summary judgment, and dismissing the case.

The case involves the placement of wheelchair seating in the new stadium riser theater auditoriums. The suit targeted six multi-screen theaters in the Portland area.
